The Oryx Bangladesh Women’s Self-Defense Seminar was held at KO Fight Studio in Gulshan, Dhaka on the occasion of International Women’s Day. This empowering event focused on equipping women with practical self-defense skills, fostering confidence, and promoting personal safety. The seminar, organized by KO Fight Studio in collaboration with Oryx Bangladesh, drew participants from various backgrounds eager to learn effective techniques for self-protection. The event was a part of KO Fight Studio’s ongoing commitment to empowering women through its Warrior Woman Bangladesh program, ensuring that every participant left with a stronger sense of security and empowerment.
The World Karate Organization Shinkyokushinkai Bangladesh successfully concluded its Winter Camp 2023 at the Bangladesh Academy for Rural Development (BARD) campus in Kotbari, Cumilla, from January 6 to 8, 2023.
Members of WKO Bangladesh and KO Fight Studio, from both Gulshan and Dhanmondi dojos, attended the three-day training camp led by Shihan Abdullah Mohammad Hossain, the country representative and branch chief of the organization.
WKO Bangladesh did its best to make the camp as colorful as possible, providing something for everyone.
The three days of camp consisted of three sessions a day. including running, physical fitness, endurance, basics of Kyokushin, Kata, fights, and multiple trainings to break the mental and stereotypical blocks.
The first two trainings included kihon, ido, kumite technique, and kata; the afternoon training was kumite-based, except for the group preparing for the grading at the end of the camp. The training led by Shihan Abdullah lifted the spirit and motivation of all the participants, no matter their age or grade.
During the whole camp, the participants were split into several groups. The participants in the kumite training had the unique chance to practice kumite in depth.
Traditionally, the last night finished with the Sayonara dinner party, where all the participants in the camp found new friends and had fun.
However, before that, he made everyone show their spirit and left them with good memories in the form of muscle fever.
What a great way to end the year! A little celebration on the 30th of December 2022, for our recently passed Black Belts! an annual general meeting of WKO Bangladesh Executive committee and WKO members, all these on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of KO Fight Studio.
It has been 10 years! so many struggles, so many bumps, and here we are today, 10 years! a humble rooftop dojo at Banani in 2012 made its way to establish a dojo in Gulshan & Dhanmondi under the affiliation of the world’s biggest full-contact karate organization, 100’s of women trained under WWB, 2012’s white belt is a Black belt 2nd Dan Sensei now, we have made our way to international tournaments and secured 3rd position in all Asian tournament, went to quarterfinals! Today, KO Fight Studio is not only a name, it’s a family, a bond.
All thanks to each of KO Fight Studio’s members, without you all we wouldn’t be here today. My humble gratitude to all the Shihans, Senseis, and all our parents for their continuous support and blessings. Heartfelt thanks to all those who have promoted us, supported us, advised us, and blessed us with their blessings even though not being a member.

The Dan Grading of the World Karate Organization, WKO Shinkyokushinkai, was successfully held on the 18th and 19th of December 2020, for the first time in Bangladesh, under the leadership of Shihan Abdullah Mohammad Hossain.
Two days of Dan grading were held, respectively, at WKO Bangladesh Honbu (KO Fight Studio Gulshan Dojo) and Sultana Kamal Sports Complex Dhanmondi in the capital.
Out of six participants, five were promoted to Black Belt First Dan and one from Black Belt First Dan to Second Dan.
