In the world of Kyokushin, a belt is never just a piece of fabric; it is a testament to sweat, discipline, and an unbreakable spirit. This April, the practitioners of WKO Shinkyokushinkai Bangladesh are called once again to prove their mettle and earn their next rank.

We are excited to announce the Kyu Grading (White to Green Belt), scheduled for Saturday, 11th April 2026, at our Honbu, KO Fight Studio in Gulshan.

The Path to the Next Rank

The grading is a grueling, comprehensive evaluation designed to test both physical capability and mental fortitude. Candidates will be assessed on:

  • Physical Fitness: Strength, endurance, and flexibility.
  • Kihon & Ido: Mastery of basic techniques and movement.
  • Kata: The detailed patterns of specialized movements.
  • Tameshiwari: The art of breaking boards, demonstrating focus and power.
  • Kumite: Full-contact sparring to showcase the true Kyokushin heart.

The session will be conducted under the expert supervision of Shihan Abdullah Mohammad Hossain and the dedicated WKO Bangladesh instructor team.

Kyokushin Takes the Stage at Flow Fest Dhaka 2025

The spirit of Kyokushin is set to electrify the upcoming Flow Fest Dhaka 2025, as Shihan Abdullah Mohammad Hossain (5th Dan, Country Chief – WKO Shinkyokushinkai Bangladesh) and his team from KO Fight Studio prepare to showcase the strength, precision, and philosophy of full-contact karate.

The session, titled “Kyokushin Live: Power & Precision,” will be held on November 6 at 1 PM and November 8 at 3 PM at Shahabuddin Park, as part of the three-day Flow Fest organized by Dhaka Flow. This annual wellness festival brings together communities passionate about fitness, mindfulness, and holistic health — making it the perfect platform to demonstrate the discipline and focus behind Kyokushin.

Visitors will witness dynamic techniques, breaking demonstrations, and the signature spirit of Osu that defines Kyokushin worldwide. Beyond physical power, the session will highlight how the martial art builds inner strength, self-control, and resilience — values deeply aligned with the festival’s wellness philosophy.

Celebrating 10 years of KO Fight Studio

What a great way to end the year! A little celebration on the 30th of December 2022, for our recently passed Black Belts! an annual general meeting of WKO Bangladesh Executive committee and WKO members, all these on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of KO Fight Studio.

It has been 10 years! so many struggles, so many bumps, and here we are today, 10 years! a humble rooftop dojo at Banani in 2012 made its way to establish a dojo in Gulshan & Dhanmondi under the affiliation of the world’s biggest full-contact karate organization, 100’s of women trained under WWB, 2012’s white belt is a Black belt 2nd Dan Sensei now, we have made our way to international tournaments and secured 3rd position in all Asian tournament, went to quarterfinals! Today, KO Fight Studio is not only a name, it’s a family, a bond.

All thanks to each of KO Fight Studio’s members, without you all we wouldn’t be here today. My humble gratitude to all the Shihans, Senseis, and all our parents for their continuous support and blessings. Heartfelt thanks to all those who have promoted us, supported us, advised us, and blessed us with their blessings even though not being a member.

InshaAllah, by the mercy of Allah, we will celebrate many 10 years ahead.
